02MAY04;05:01pm I'm here this weekend. Nobody can pick me up besides dad who is in/or maybe out of the hospital. It's been a day. I need to call home. Nobody would call me to update me on papa's condition. The last I was told was that he went to the hospital for his back and is taking meds for it. I hope he's ok.
I've come up with many a different ideas of what the noises are I'm hearing from the guys above me. I think they're lifting weights then dropping them on the floor. Monique also went to bitch out the loud guys below us. Good.
Oh and I remember why I like to go home for the weekend. To get away from the loud ass bitches I call my neighbors. I can't even sleep in peace without waking up to them screaming at each other. People have lost repect for others and I have lost my respect for them. le sigh. just counting down the days until school is over now.

02MAY04;06:42pm Dinner was blah. Talked to Jane and dad's home resting. The cause of his illness is something like a result of fishing in the rain and his muscles tensed up. He's taking relaxers and in bed for the next week or so. I'm gonna call home just to tell 'em I'm fine over here and not to worry, just worry about themselves.
I'm swooning over guys with guitars at the moment. I've got G. Love, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, and Dave Matthews serenading me on the current playlist. (forum) ($$$)
02MAY02;04:05pm Let me tell you, this week has been a lazy bum week for me. I am happier now to have spent too long of a time at Conn Hall just talking away with my friend Pam admitting how much of lazy bums we are. Not until now that I'm in college I am so comfortable to be myself around my friends. I am so gonna miss my friends this summer! No offense to my high school friends back home but I just don't get this comfortable and close to them as I do here...at least the ones I've kept in contact with (which is very few) I still enjoy their company. I am I rambling? I must be procrastinating.

It says all students from SCSU, CCSU, Sacred Heart U., and U. of New Haven are invted. I have no idea what it's gonna be, I guess just a night of all these students in the same club. This, my friend, is one of the many questions on permutation in my math homework tonight. I paid $100 for a 2001 edition that has photos of Ally McBeal, Mariah Carey, Peter Jennings, and Kevin Bacon in it. None of them make math a fun thing to do.
Anyways, I called my english prof this afternoon and felt better writing my i-search paper that I can hand in tomorrow. After a few hours or so in the computer lab I got restless and started to get mad at the Microsoft Word office assistant that looked like it was taking my disk rather than giving it to me everytime I saved. I went to the Yale Art Gallery this afternoon. Some of their modern art I can do myself. Really. I can duplicate pieces of art that are just made of colored pieces of paper, ribbon, oil paint, paper towels, plastic grating, and a cigarette butt. I thought i'd tag along and see the place while Amy, Tracy, and Leah took notes for their Art History papers. Erma loves her artsy friends. (forum) ($$$)
02APR20;04:27pm We got into a quasi-accident yesterday on our way home. I'll spare you the details and just say that we're all ok and as much as I am reluctant on mentioning religion, I'm most positive God was watching over all of us yesterday. We had such luck that if it were more serious, there was EMT and a state trooper on the highway right behind us as we did a 360 across the freeway. Just be glad no lives were lost. =)
After crying most of the day being freaked out and repeatedly telling my parents that I love 'em and glad they're both ok, the 3 sisters ate dinner at Foxwoods and I took a few photos. I'll upload them sooner or later.
If you haven't already read about Megan's loss of a good friend, I have to say that every minute that you spend being alive you never know how close to death you are. Value every day that you have being healthy and with the people/things you appreciate the most in life. umm... i'm sorry if i've been boring you with my ponderings of life like that other entry below.

Rannie respectively asked me to let you all know about this great photograpy project that he has begun. The Film Exchange Project brings together a group of people to take a roll of photos with a regular 35mm camera within a certain time period, send the roll to someone else and the photos will be developed and made into a gallery posted online. More information here.
Also if you're into listening to your local college radio station, check out Southern's station, WSIN, and my boy Tyese and his group have a weekly show. If you're in the New Haven/CT area turn your station to 1590AM or listen online. His show is on tonight @ 10:00pm to 12:00am. 02APR17;05:50pm It is hot as a crotch outside. Been that way for the last couple days. It's motivated me to get off my ass and go outside to play with my friends. Who would've known that I can actually throw a frisbee?! Amy was being such a paparazzi whipping out her camera with extra zoom just to take photos of a cute guy we know(who took off his shirt, yum!) and Laura took a photo of all of us, we are so multicultural! All of us in the photo were 2 african-american, 2 asians, and 2 european-americans (is that politically correct nowadays?). neat-o. The not-so-neato part of our days were the abundance of girls on campus walking around like they're wearing colored tv-censor bars over their private parts. Modesty is the best policy people.
While studying for a math & bio exam I did some drawing. Check it out, Ashanti -vector style! I even did it in Paint Shop Pro.

02APR14;12:18am I didn't think I'd miss my digicam when I left it at school thursday. Jane, Joan, and I went on a small adventure today and there was quite a few instances in the last couple days where I wished I had my camera to take a picture.
For some reason I'm really determined to go to a flea market tomorrow. I wanted to stop for yard sales today when I saw signs, I'm in such a bargain hunting mood. I remember when mom used to take me yard sale hunting every saturday morning. That reminds me, I need to tell her about the seasonal flea markets at the senior center and the church next weekend! hehe. (forum) ($$$)
02APR13;04:24am I don't know why I'm still thinking about thursday afternoon. I briefly mentioned this to Bogdan afterwards that day, but I'm still trying to make sense of it and how it has sort of affected me in a minor way throughout the last 2 semesters I've spent in college.
See, there's a cemetary that's partially on Southern's campus. It's next to the Wintergreen Building, surrounding the North Campus Apartment Complex, and across from our dining hall. Not far from these buldings are our dorms. It's once in a while when there is a burial in the cemetary and while that's going on a large number or Southern students would be aware of what's going on over there as people walk to/from class, dorms, & the dining hall. As I sat eating lunch with a few friends we were sitting at a table next to the windows directly facing the cemetary and as time went on cars parked and people dressed in black gathered at a burial. The last couple times I walked past the cemetary going back to my room after class and I'd see a burial ceremony I'd think How sad, another precious soul has passed away. I bet they are greatly missed by many. This time, I couldn't help but practically witness the whole thing as I ate. Conversation with my friend tapered off as I just had numerous thoughts running through my head. First off, how weird that this campus was built alongside a cemetary. Then I started thinking about sooner or later I'd have to attend a burial of a loved one, or how the person being buried would be me one day, basically ideas about death and loss. All of that generalized into thinking about how I'm choosing to live my life and trying to make every minute that I'm alive count.
We're living in a fast-moving world and people are striving to live as long as they can. As much as people say that life is short, it can be lengthened as long as you want according to how you live your life. The last time I checked the world wasn't ending anytime soon. Y2K has passed and we're still alive. Youth lasts quite a few years so enjoy being pure and innocent. Adulthood and all of its benefits and responsibilites can wait for the right time. Start doing things that you dreamed of and turn them into attainable goals. You probably won't be knocking on death's door anytime soon unless you've got your heart set on it (and I hope you're not). Have I strayed from my point? Basically, enjoy your life and live it out to the fullest. Make mistakes to learn from, experience many people & places, love others and they'll love you back, and surely just your existence can make another person happy. Oh and sending out a few smiles on the street can change a complete stranger's life. Don't feel as though your time is limited to reach a certain goal... unless you're psychic and know the exact date of your expiration! Take your time.

02APR12;05:44pm I'm still so happy I could pee my pants. Do you know how much I love guys who can pull of wearing dresses and look good at it? It was an amazing experience to be in the same airspace with the 5 best men to make me laugh my ass off. Scott Thompson, Bruce McCulloch, Mark McKinney, Dave Foley, and Kevin McDonald, I will be dreaming of the next time I see each one of you again. (PLEASE COME BACK TO CT SOON!) I'll write a pseudo-review of last night sooner or later. My cheap butt could only afford a KITH dog tag that cost a whopping $10. Joan got the program, dog tag, and a pin(that was sadly from the the 200 tour) and it's all great reminders of that memorable night.
Anyhoo, I skipped psych class today and came home with Joan after the show. I can get the notes from a friend, it's not that difficult for me to catch up in that class. As for english, I've got an I-Search paper to work on. 10 page paper here I come. (forum) ($$$)

Anyways, can somebody answer this question: am I a freakin' race horse?! It's been brought to my attention that "D.C." (Leon's his real name) likes me, and his boys are trying to hook us up because he has a $20 bet with Keisha that we'll go out. NOT! I'm sorry, but I don't like that boy like that. Keisha can take her $20 from "Coup" and share it with me because this bet is over dot com period.
More with the unnecessary drama, Felippe put photos of me, Sheena, and Keisha up on his "Ladies of SCSU" webpage on BlackPlanet. Okay, does he think he's pimpin' us or something? Some people. I don't know about ya'll but BlackPlanet, AsianAvenue, Migente, UrbanPeeps, AsianConnexion, Apartment107 and all their followers are just a waste of time.

02APR10;12:45pm I don't wanna know my grade for my last English paper. Let's just move along. I've got a 10-12 page I-Search paper to write and I'm writing it on vegetarianism. I'm putting together a survey that I hope most of you can fill out. Pour moi! This sucks though, I thought this paper was our last paper, the research paper, but it's more like a prep to our research paper. Right after we finish this one we go straight into our research paper on the same topic as the I-Search paper. So I guess this one doesn't need a thesis and it's more of like telling a story of how I did my research and shit to get to my thesis. Or something. Hey, there's nothing better than comedy to make me laugh and "forget about how screwed I am." These last couple days I've been sitting my butt in my room studying for my zoology lab exam on thursday. I'm so determined to pass this next exam. Word! I know every part of an earthworm's nervous system an shiznit. All the time I sacrificed to study I didn't hang with my girls to do some shenanigans on guys. But it's ok. a-ok. I may go insane in this institution but I'm getting my edumacation on.
