The registration for not-right.com will expire in June. I'm choosing not to renew the domain name. It was fun having it in the last two years. I met a lot of great people and appreciate the continuing support. Thanks so much.

I've never really gone on a 'hiatus' like most other people with personal websites & blogs have. I never felt the need to. If I didn't want to post an entry for a week, I didn't. You know I've openly admitted that I've got a very un-eventful and mostly uninteresting life (in which you'd be interested to know about is beyond me). But I think it's time I step back and think about things.

I've been thinking about what direction I want to go since I've done and carved out a little piece of the web and called it my own. I can't leave you guys, I love you too much. All I know is that it's time for a change.

(If you really want to know where I'll be, sign up for my mailing list and I'll send you an email when it's time!)

There are a lot of things that I'd like to openly mention to all the ladies in the room. One is, you can have him. I'm sick of feeling as if I'm competing with other girls to win over a guy. The fact of the matter is that there are a lot of fish in the sea. I may have one soul mate or many soul mates scattered around the world, but I'll find one when the right time comes. If we're not meant to be for each other, then let it be. I'm fine with being friends. I just don't want to exert so much of my energy and emotions and play tug of war with another girl that might end in her pulling in the guy and me being pulled too hard and falling flat on my face.

It's so funny and kinda sad to see some girls following guys around, making themselves believe they've got so much in common with him, arranging their schedules to have more time with him, when all that's happening is that they're blinded by the need for love (or lust) that their life starts to revolve around the lucky guy. If it doesn't work out, she's left in the cold trying to relocate her own identity and wondering how to pick up the pieces.

Maybe I've been single for too long. Maybe I'm just too independent as a woman. Whatever the reason is, I've learned to keep my head up, do what makes me happy in life, and go for my goals. If my husband happens to fall into my arms in the process, then slip a ring on my finger and let's get busy! For now, I'm working on establishing & enjoying my life with all the wonderful friends I have. It'd be idiotic of me to deny how blessed I am.

I'm this close to replying to every email forward I get from all my friends with "unsubscribe" because there are a few who rely too much on prewritten friendship messages and inspirational notes that are an easy substitute to express their true feelings for me. Sometimes I just don't bother anymore because the emails are starting to get repetitive, I see the same dancing bears and eye trick pictures like I did a year ago. To be deleting my own friends emails like I do with junk mail, now that's sad.

Do you know disturbing it is to see a car dealership commercial with a talking dog? That's not the freaky part, the dog's mouth is a human kid's mouth. Everyday during the Trading Spaces timeslot on TLC, it never ceases to give me the shivers.

Someone logged onto the internet to search for pictures of black people. Why?! Do you live under a rock? Were you looking to obtain pictures to use in an offending way? Weird. My response to this is, whatever your intentions were, make friends with black people if you haven't already. Make friends with people of all races because we're all people and having a variety of people in your life makes it richer and more wonderful.

Wow, it's so surprising to know that people you knew in high school have been shipped to Iraq for the war. I caught myself reading articles online in the local newspaper referencing to my alma mater, Fitch High School. I just read an article about Josh Bergeson's mom putting yellow ribbons in her front yard after he was shipped out the 10th. The kid graduated a year after me and we both got our driver's licenses printed out the same day. He's a really cool guy and I hope after the last couple weeks he's still ok. It's weird how I haven't really felt this war hit close to home yet since I live in a military town, you can't be a resident here and not be affiliated with someone in the military. It's also interesting how your views and feelings regarding topics like this can become stronger or not after you know you've absolutely got a connection to it, how you know you're going to be affected by it somehow.

That's all I'm gonna say.

I hope everyone had a good Easter.

I got an email update from a website I visited a year ago, Rate My Professors, it might be a fun & interesting website to surf through. You can rate your professors according to easiness of the course, helpfulness, and clarity. Comments can also be added. It's all in good fun. The rating surveys that faculty give us at the end of every semester in every class helps the faculty themselves but a website like this helps other students. I read an article about this website and other professor rating websites and it's funny to find out that some teachers may get uncomfortable knowing something like this exists. Even before these websites were created, students were critiquing and discussing their teachers with each other anyways. It's just the internet embodiment of it. Before registering my classes each semester I ask my friends what courses they've taken and how their professors were like, leaving me the opportunity to take a class with said professor or choose someone else. I like to surf through the ratings for my school. Mostly positive comments too, that's a good sign that there are good profs here.
